Searching for Strength

I am me,
I am unique in my eyes,
I am special in every way,
I am intricately designed to be what you see.
I am not you,
You are not me,
We cannot both be the person our eyes see.
I do not want to be you,
You do not want to be me,
Our difference is what makes us unique.
Yet we are the same,
I am you,
And you are me,
That is the common thought as human beings.
Your downs are not my downs
My ups are not your ups,
It is a common lust.
I am me,
You are you,
The mirror is the truth we can each see.
Searching for strength,
Yes, searching for strength.
I now see,
I can only be my best,
Yes, the best that only I can be.

I love this poem. I have always felt God only asks that I do my best.
Yes.. Miraculous I think. I’ve always wanted to be the best but it’s not until now that I realised that my best is not equal to what another considers best. It is a limiter and a depressor when we sit and compare ourselves and say we are not good enough - No.. We are good enough, we just need to see that our best is just our best. We should not compare to others and say what we do is not great.
