The Art of Digital Photography

Thursday, March 26 from 7:15 to 9:15 pm

This is a night of pure magic. It's where some of the world's leading digital photographers come together, on one stage, for an evening that you'll be talking about for years. Be right there as these gifted artists put Photoshop aside to focus solely on the creativity and art behind their brilliant photography.

I live to pursue a career as a Photo-Journalist, Digital illustrator and/or Multimedia designer, and these little events excite me. I've never been to one but i can just imagine what i'd learn from all the experts that will be there.

see u there.

Do you believe in God?

Posted on Jan 3rd, 2009 by deboz : Light Bearer deboz
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for July 28, 2007:

I believe that there is an intelligent Creator that intricately designed everything in the universe including the universe itself. Men were created somehow, and as God says, we are created after His similitude, thus having a form of godliness within us - these are traits which we can see clear in mankind's own creative intuition. Just like god created all things, we as man have the same mind to want to create. Just as the  God of creation is intelligent enough to intricately form our body (organs and all), so we as man have intelligence and seek to do things in a new and unique way..

From the creation perspective, I believe that there is a God that search the void, and separated light from darkness. I believe that He did everything and all that He says is true. I believe in His Love, and that it's the only way you can attain or learn how to truly love, which is, to take after His example. The so-called gods of this world have yet to do anything for me personally except lead me into more darkness (resentment, stubbornness, impatience, idolatry and the list goes on), but the God of all creation teaches meekness, charity, peace, long-suffering, patience, kindness and everything good.. Searching after the true and living God has led me to abandon the other gods i once served.. now i call unto Jesus.

Pain/Suffering = Love

Posted on Jan 3rd, 2009 by deboz : Light Bearer deboz
For a greater cause one will suffer with afflictions for someone.. that cause may just to be to stabilize a relationship but how many persons really do believe that they MUST suffer in order to love with their all?

I believe the mentality of "not wanting to be hurt" in a relationship of any kind, is a selfish need.

I say it is selfish because first of all, you are looking to protect yourself form the potential hurt that may be inflicted. With this outlook, i believe that one can never truly love another because they will always hold on to apart of themselves... Did you know that that part of which you hold on to may be the best part of you? It may be that one thing that your partner is looking for but can't seem to find because you hide it.

In all rights, human natural instinct is to protect themselves, their lives, their family first.. but in order to love, I believe that one must consider the needs of others first and selflessly grant what the relationship needs to grow. It's a sacrifice, but it will be in all honesty.

In my eyes, to withhold your love is selfish, and it is dishonesty while you may say you are in love.. you are not.. you try to love to an extent and then hold on to the real portion of yourself that really loves.

A scarred soul or wounded heart is not a nice feeling, but I rather to be hurt and love than to not love at all.

If you had loved before and was hurt, we understand, but if you want to find love, you have to use the pain of your past to build your love of your present and future.. use the pain, don't hide it, because your pain is your love.

What would you like to celebrate?

Each and every day I get. Though times are dark, the breath of life is a gift all within its self. Without it, we could not think to celebrate anything else...

Where do you find the sacred in your life?

Posted on Jan 7th, 2009 by deboz : Light Bearer deboz
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 07, 2009:

The "Thank You's" are always cherishable.. or just to hear someone say, "I want to be like you and know more about God"... God is sacred to me, and hearing people wanting to know about Him and His ways means alot to me - even if they are against it, it's nice to be open about the subject of God.

What has given you the most strength?

Posted on Jan 10th, 2009 by deboz : Light Bearer deboz
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 10, 2009:

When I thought I was forgotten and all alone, as an angry child who felt misplaced and who hated the world; one day, on my knees, crying in the dark, I heard a voice speak to me in the midst of my tears and told me that I was not alone. God told me that and showed me the way. That was the post starting point to my continuing growth now from strength to strength in the light of the truth.

If you had to pick another religion to practice, what would it be

Posted on Jan 12th, 2009 by deboz : Light Bearer deboz
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 12, 2009:

One Gaian commented that religion brings about separation But lets looks on that on more than one levels...

1. The natural man sees it as the division of mankind.

2. The objective man sees it as an "attempt" to divide right from wrong (what he thinks is right and wrong).

3. The inner man just yearns for understanding and the unbiased truth.

Someone please tell me how did religions come about?

I don't want religion, I just want to do what Christ said.

What has your recent relationship to money been like?

Posted on Jan 13th, 2009 by deboz : Light Bearer deboz
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 13, 2009:

It's a convienience that could satisfy my lustful eyes, but it's a convience that I don't have so contentment is my next bid, and in contentment I live.

Seriously.. It's been a struggle for my "people" to keep up with the detoriating of the dollar value in my country, so it's hard when you see something you need (not want) and can't get it. It's frustrating but through it all I'm learning to be content. "Nights without food won't kill you. Days without bread with hurt you either. God will make a way. Jus hold on and be faithful." that's what I have to learn

How could your life be more balanced?

Posted on Jan 16th, 2009 by deboz : Light Bearer deboz
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 16, 2009:

I don't know. What is balanced. in one hand I have "this" and in the other "that". I don't think I would do anything or want anything more. I believe, "to whom m uch is given , much is required" and "the more you do the more troubles will come your way." Life is good just as is despite of the storms.

WALKING IN MY SHOES by Denyu Grant

Posted on Jan 16th, 2009 by deboz : Light Bearer deboz
A symbolic journey of hope, faith and encouragement, written through the eyes of a boy wanting to give up his life because it seems too tattered and torn, that he cannot imagine success.

*******************************************

WALKING IN MY SHOES

Cannot take these sneaker off,
I gotta reach out.
Reach out and walk this way,
This way to my goal.

Sometimes I feel discouraged,
But it's too hard,
Too hard to turn away,
And walk back home.

I cannot take these sneakers,
Even if my feet hurt,
I gotta run this way,
Even if my legs don't work.

I cannot take these sneakers off,
Even if my knees hurt.
I'll have to crawl my way,
My way to my goal,
For it's the only way I have to go.

These sneakers,
They might be torn now.
They might be all worn now,
But that's the way it gets on this road.

This road in life,
You walk by courage.
Even when faith is low
And you feel discouraged.

Sometimes you'll be alone,
But no, don't you worry.
The strongest men walked this road.

So don't take off your sneakers
No, don't give up.
But run now,
Because running is your hope.

A hope of a brighter day,
When your journey is all away,
And You'll be proud to say,
I've made it today,
And now I find rest.

All Things Well | 22.Jan.09

Posted on Jan 22nd, 2009 by deboz : Light Bearer deboz
All Things Well
**********************************

I see the ocean roaming.
The breeze is still.

I feel the peace of the air,
And the serene of the sea.

I can feel the warmth of the sand.
Oh how beautiful it looks in my hand.
Every grain glistens, like the glean of a precious gem.

I pause to listen,
To the wonders of the world.

The birds sing,
The trees whistle.

Oh what beauty can't we see.

The leaves rustle,
The little animals shuffle,

The sun sets.
Awestruck I stand.

Oh how Awesome are the works of God's Mighty Hand.

Nature is beautiful,
Even more than what we can see,
Yet, of-coarse, His greatest creations are,
You and me

A man after God's own heart

Posted on Jan 28th, 2009 by deboz : Light Bearer deboz
God is the object and subject of our life.

What made David so great?it was the fact that he was quick 2 assume responsibility 4 his wrongs. He readily repented. He readily acknowledged his mistake and he never blamed anyone else 4 his sin..

David was a man just like Saul but David was internally motivated to have a relationship with God. Saul sought 2 associate with God 4 benifits..

God knows our heart...I hope u get the point.

What was the last blessing in disguise you received?

Posted on Jan 28th, 2009 by deboz : Light Bearer deboz
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 28, 2009:

I landed in America thinking that my life would be in shambles very shortly, but then it was not so. It showed mea hard life and when I went back home I was prepared even more to return to my American lifestyle. The culture challenged me and the churches even more but the hardship prepared me, and I learned how to survive and keeping my mind.
